Swedish Style Meatballs recipe

Ingredients List:

1.5 lb hamburger
2 cups breadcrumbs, soft
2/3 cups milk
1 tbsp butter
½ cup onion, chopped fine
3 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp paprika
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
1 can condensed beef broth, undiluted
1 cup sour cream
Noodles, cooked

Directions:

The first thing you are going to want to do is to soak your breadcrumbs in milk until they become nice and soft. Then melt 1 tbsp of butter in a sauce pan and sauté your onion. Mix together the breadcrumbs, onion, and hamburger meat. Add in your salt, pepper, eggs, paprika, and nutmeg. Mix it real good using your hands to make sure everything is well blended. Now you are ready to begin shaping your meatballs. You want to roll them in the palm of your hand and dust them with the flour as needed.

Melt the rest of your better in a large sized pan and add in your Swedish meatballs. You want to fry them until they become a nice brown color. Once they are browned you will pour off about 2 2/4 to 3 tbsp of the drippings and stir your flour in to the drippings that are left. Mix until you get a nice and blended consistency. Then add in the beef broth and pepper. You want to keep cooking and stirring it until it is nice and thick. Turn down the heat and cook it for another 5 minutes. Add in your sour cream a small amount at a time; make sure you stir it continuously during this process. Put the meatballs back in to the sauce, cover the pan and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. You can pour the completed mixture over your cooked noodles and serve it. This is one great dish that will please everyone!
